ABSTRACT

Groundwater contamination is a serious environmental problem that affects millions of

people around the world. There are many different sources of groundwater contamination, but
some of the most common include industrial activities, agricultural activities, urban activities,
and natural sources. Groundwater contamination can have a number of harmful effects,
including human health problems, environmental damage, and economic losses. There are a
number of things that can be done to prevent groundwater contamination, such as reducing
the use of pesticides and fertilizers, properly disposing of hazardous waste, treating
wastewater before it is discharged, and monitoring groundwater quality.

In this project, the physio chemical analysis of various physio-chemical parameters is carried
out for assessment of ground water quality. Total of 4 different samples were collected from
the surrounding location of hebbal industrial area whose samples were collected from 4
different tube wells. Over the due course of time various parameters regarding the water
quality has to be analysed & the Indian standards : 10500 (Drinking water specifications) was
referred in order to check the acceptability of water.
