Summary of the film: In 1969, there was a boy name Alan Parrish. One day, he went to
his father’s shoe factory. There was a building being constructed near the factory. He
found a board game name Jumanji near the walls of the building. He took the game to
his house and hide it in his decoration room. At night his parents bought good news to
him that he was going to a great boarding school name Cliffside school. But Alan didn’t
want to go and there was a fight between his father and him. After his parents went to a
party, he decided to leave the house quietly. He packed a small suitcase and was about
to leave until he remembers about the game and there was a door bell. In the door,
there was a girl name Sarah. Alan wanted to play the game with her. When Sarah rolled
the dice, bats started coming. When Alan rolled the dice, he went straight into the game
in the jungle. Never heard of again until after 26 years 1995, a woman name Nora
bought the house. She had a nephew name Peter and a niece name Judy. They both
were looking upstairs in the storeroom until they found a bat and the same weird board
game. “THE JUMANJI”. They decided to try the board game tomorrow. Next day, they
both didn’t went to school so it was a best chance for them to try the game. When they
opened the game, Judy made the first move and the number of monkeys got into the
kitchen. They couldn’t understand why and how this happened. When Peter rolled the
dice, a lion was standing right in front them. They run for their lives until a jungle type of
man came and distracted the lion and trapped it. Peter and Judy were confused once
again and they asked the man that who was he? The man was looking a bit old and he
replied, “My name is Alan Parrish”. And he asked, “Where is my mom and dad”? Peter
and Judy explained everything to him. After Alan heard everything, he was a bit sad but
he said, “We have to finish the game right now or it will go worse.” But the problem was
that there were not three players, there were four. The fourth player was the girl Sarah
back in 1969. As far as Alan know, he took them to a house and said, “This is as far as I
know”. They knocked the door and there was a woman standing at the door. When Alan
explained everything to the woman, she fainted right away. It was Sarah. At first she
didn’t want to play the game but she has to as she knows. When she rolled the dice, the
decoration room was filled with flowers and branches. They were shooting poison but
they were already having a cover. After 30 seconds, they stopped and then Alan rolled
the dice and a hunter name Van Pelta started shooting right away as he came. Alan has
to run for his life as he rolled the dice and the hunter was only after him. However, the
hunter was being hit by a police car and the guy’s name was Carl, the hero. He arrested
Alan as he thought that along the hunter, Alan was also with him. The game couldn’t be
finished once again. Peter, Judy and Sarah were looking for Alan all the street until they
found the hunter once again. He was in a bit bad condition but fine enough to run and
shoot. They had to run as usual. But accidently Peter slipped and just about Van Pelta
was about to shoot him, Carl shoot him straight in his head. Van Pelta was dead. Carl
wanted to find the whole truth. Alan was in the car. Sarah explained everything about
what happened in the past and now. Carl let Alan go with a fine of 10 dollars. They went
home and it was Peter’s turn. When he rolled the dice, on the board game Jumanji was
written. It was all over. Alan woke up for school. It was just a dream.
