 RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH THE GOSPEL

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every
one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of
God revealed from faith to faith... (Romans 1:16-17).

Through the years, men have sought righteousness, but the righteousness of God is only revealed in the
Gospel of Christ. Until one accepts the Gospel he or she will never know or receive the righteousness of God, or
be able to live a righteous life. There's no other way to come into this extraordinary fellowship and oneness
with the Lord except through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why we can't afford to be quiet about the
Gospel. It's the answer to man's cry. So, preach the Gospel. Spread the good news of righteousness to everyone
in your world, being absolutely convinced that it's man's only way to be made right with God

TRAINING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS

TRAINING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
Heb 5:13- For everyone that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he
is a babe

As we discussed last week, righteousness is the nature of God that's been imparted to our spirits that
makes us like Him. You received the righteousness of Christ, which is perfect; therefore, you don’t
grow in righteousness, you are as righteous as Jesus is. However, you ought to grow in the
consciousness of righteousness and this comes by knowledge discovered through the revelation of
God, or revelation from God. In other words, through the Word of God, you're trained or tutored in
the word or doctrine of righteousness; you're trained to see and think differently! 2 Timothy 3:16
says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." The Word of God is God's
instruction manual to train you in the way and life of righteousness.
It takes understanding righteousness to reign over demons, sickness, failure, defeat, and death. It takes your
understanding of righteousness to reject everything that's not of God, and endorse only that which is consistent
with His perfect will for you. It takes being skilled in the word of righteousness to think differently, see
differently, and talk differently from the carnal mind, and in the light of God's truth. This is why you should
constantly yield yourself to the ministry of the Word, through study, meditation and proclamation .
RIGHTEOUSNESS MAKES US MASTERS

Romans 5:17 says, “…they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of
righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”

The word, reign, in the Scripture above is obtained from the Greek word meaning ‘to king’. That expresses
dominion, authority and mastery. It’s your responsibility to take a hold of your righteousness in Christ by being
conscious of it! This gives you boldness and confidence to pray and expect answers. It eliminates any form of
fear, guilt, condemnation or inferiority. It gives you mastery over the devil, his accusations, and the
circumstances of life. It also gives you the boldness and confidence to pray to God and expect answers; we are
unafraid and unashamed before Him because we have His Righteousness.

As God’s children, we pray knowing that we’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Our righteousness
gives us the right or guarantee of hearing with God. This is what makes our prayers effectual and effective.
James 5:16 (AMPC) says, “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes
tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].”

RIGHTEOUSNESS ATTRACTS PEOPLE TO YOU

Isaiah 45:24 says “Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength:
even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed”

There’s a beauty and an attraction about your life because you’re the righteousness of God. When you walk in
righteousness, men will come to you to hear God’s Word, and to be imparted by His life and nature of
righteousness that’s in you.

It reminds of what the Prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 60:3, “And the Gentiles shall come to
thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” Righteousness attracts! It pulls
people to you who want to come to know and serve your God. Therefore, always affirm that you
have the righteousness of God. As you make that declaration, you’d find yourself bringing forth
more fruits of righteousness, and producing greater works of righteousness.

TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and
praise of God (Philippians 1:11).

You can't have fruits of something you're not. An orange tree can only produce orange fruits. So, our theme
verse is letting you know that since you're righteous, you bear fruits of righteousness (Matthew 7:20). In John
15:5, Jesus said, "I am the vine, ye are the branches...." The reality is that the beauty of a tree is in its branches.
Being the "branch" of Jesus Christ means you carry the beauty of the Son of God, hallelujah! You're the fruit-
bearing part of the vine, and you bear fruits of righteousness. That's what your life is about: the manifestation
of His righteousness. You've been established as a tree of righteousness, to produce fruits and works of
righteousness. The people of the world should see you and recognize the excellence and elegance of the Spirit.
When Jesus restored sight to the blind, unstopped deaf ears, healed the crippled, raised the dead, fed the
hungry, comforted the afflicted, and spoke divine words to encourage and bless people, He was manifesting
fruits of righteousness. And as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17), so we must do likewise. Glory to His
Name forever!

AFFIRMATIONS

I am the righteous flourish; I like the palm tree and grow like the cedar in Lebanon. I'm planted in the house of
the Lord, and I flourish in the courts of our God. I produce fruits and works of righteousness; my life is the
testimony of God's glory and grace. His beauty is expressed through me; this is my heritage in Christ. I walk in
the consciousness of dominion, reigning and ruling as a king in life. Hallelujah!

CONCLUSION

Your knowledge and consciousness of righteousness will make you a master in all affairs of life, causing you to
reign in all things and dispense righteousness to your world. Take out time between now and the next Bible
study class to study further on this subject.
