Part I. Research Analysis.

Based on what you have read and watch about the story of Noli Me Tangere
and El Filibusterismo, do the following activities:

1. Examine the present Philippine situation through the examples mentioned in the
Noli.

By examining the current scenario, we may relate several important facts from
Noli Me Tangere to the state of affairs in our nation. Even though many years
have passed, we cannot deny that our nation is still facing some of the same
problems that are mentioned in one of Dr. Jose Rizal’s most famous works, the
Noli Me Tangere. One of the most frequent is corruption. This can be observed
in some of the elected officials, including mayors, governors, congressmen,
senators, and others, who ran for office with the intention of making money
rather than serving the public. Using tax payer funds to support initiatives that
would feed their own greed. One of those is poverty, which is still a problem
today. Despite the fact that the contemporary world has increased job
opportunities, poverty remains one of the country’s major issues, as
evidenced by the Noli Me Tangere. Injustice and abuse are two others. Although
we may not notice it in our area, there are provinces in our country that are
currently dealing with this issue as a result of corrupt politicians.

Religion, on the other hand, has become a thing. Since then, numerous religion
shave emerged. Outside, it may look pleasing to the sight, but there are those
who have hidden motives for forming such faiths. It could simply be a tool to
make money off individuals that join, or it could even be used to carry out
harmful deeds behind the scenes. It’s encouraging to see that people are now
getting exposed to
2. Compare and contrast the characters, plot, and theme of the Noli and the El Fili
3. Value the role of the youth in the development and future of society.
