In the article Medallion architecture in Microsoft Fabric I have created an

example of a Microsoft Fabric-based lakehouse medallion architecture for
the sales department. In this example we will try to connect to those
lakehouses using DBeaver in order to browse tables and to perfom queries.
To access the Snowflake Tables locally, I use the SQL client software
“DBeaver Community”. This is free in the Community Edition and offers a
wide range of connectors to work with various database systems.

When DBeaver is started for the first time, you can click on the icon at the
top left to connect to a new database.

There I select the database Azure SQL Database and next.

We then have to fill in minimum 3 fields (Host, Username, Password) for the
connection:

Host: SQL connection string (below are the three steps how to find it)

1.From fabric workspace we will open the Sales_Gold lakehouse.

2. Swith from Lakehouse mode to SQL analytics endpoint.

3. Chose Settings(1) from the top menu, copy SQL connection string(2)

Username: Microsoft Fabric user name(2)

Password: Microsoft Fabric user password(2)

Let`s Test Connection(3) by chosing the button from the down left corner, as
we can see the connection was successfully tested, click OK(4) to close the
test window and chose Finish(5) to save the connection.
