SUSTAINABILITY
We care about the environment
Tinplate (TP) is a clean and responsible packaging choice for your brand.
Lightweight aerosols use less natural resources as they are lighter than ever. For instance,
on a diameter 57 mm’s aerosol, a 28% reduction on body thickness is achievable.
Moreover, tinplate is the material with the highest recycling rate (approximately 80%) and
it is one hundred per cent recyclable.
79.5% is recycled
of steel packaging
100%new steel is reused to make
materials, steel is permanent. This means that it can be recycled time and time
again without its quality ever being deteriorated, contributing to a permanent
material loop.

ADVANTAGES OF STEEL
Moreover, there are opportunities for innovation and flair with this packaging material to build on the strength, protection and
reliability of tinplate.
With tinplate packaging, customers also ensure the general steel advantages:
• High quality printing capabilities – to capture the attention of consumers and convey quality
• Perfect barrier against degradation caused by exposure to light, dirt, bacteria, moisture, oxygen and odour
• 100% recyclable
• Robust packaging material – product safety is assured during transport, handling and storage
• Steel has maximum design potential
• Ideal for long-term storage of perishable goods
• Retains properties longer than other packaging
• Stackable and Strong
• Good weight-strength ratio
OUR PRODUCTION PROCESS

• Assembling
COIL SLITTING
Coil Slitting
We are proud of our rigorous inspection activities
across the entire supply chain. The aerosol
production process begins with the reception of
coiled steel in our Vale de Cambra site, where it is
uncoiled, straightened and inspected.
In our pre-printing department we ensure that designs and artworks are of the highest quality.
Proofs are provided to our customers for assessment prior to full-scale manufacture. Customers can either choose
between a tinplate or a paper proof.
The technology used provides an extremely robust and real prediction of colour
and appearance of the final printed piece, including both traditional flat sheets as well as finished, 3-dimensional packages.
PRE-PRESS
• True halftone quality colour proofing offering high resolutions of 2400 or 2540 dpi
• Colour halftone dots for spot colours, including both colour and screening characteristics
(e.g., dot shape and angles)
• Proof CMYK process, spot, brand and custom colours, each appearing as a true colour
• Extended gamut colour donors (orange, green, blue) and specialty white and metallic
donors yield outstanding colour range and special effects
PRINTING & COATING
We offer a bespoke, flexible service and a variety of coatings and finishes can be applied in the tinplate,
depending on the individual needs of each our customers. A variety of basis (base coat, white enamel, etc.)
and also finishes (glossy, semi-matte, full-matte, among others) are available in order to increase AW impact.
Following our customer’s approval of the initial proof, we progress to print the tinplate sheets with the
best quality inks to achieve a high standard design in-line with customer’s requirements.
We have state-of-the-art offset UV printing lines – 4, 6 and 7 colours allowing us to provide our customers
with high quality decoration for extra impact at point-of-sale.
Thanks to the recent progress and investment, through multicolour we are able to increase even more the
flexibility by being able to combine different AW on the same printed sheet, allowing reduced MOQ’s.
Stamping
Using state-of-the-art high-speed stamping equipment and
100% in-house production capability, we are able to produce
and offer a whole range of aerosol components (cones and
domes) diameters and pressure (from 12 bar to 18 bar)
resistance specifications to meet customer’s needs.
Assembling
During the process of assembling the aerosol, the highest standards of quality and care are maintained.
The aerosol blanks are rolled, welded and side seam protected to prevent tinplate exposure.
Except for diameter 45 mm, due technical restriction, all the remaining portfolio has its internal welding
seam protected through electrostatic powder coating technology, which besides being solvent free,
offers increased protection against corrosion.
Having the can-bodies welded, tinplate cylinders are necked, flanged and seamed. The aerosol
components are double seamed onto the tinplate cylinder guaranteeing a hermetic seal.
