About the Course and its Objectives:

International Investment Law as a branch of International Law has yet not been given much

an independent branch of study for scholars of international trade, international economics and
international commercial/business law. Hence, its significance cannot be avoided. The object
behind this course is to expose the students to the basic tenets of international investment law
while at the same time to develop in the readers the skills to identify and analyse the key and recent
issues in this domain.

This course is designed for students of X Semester, B.A., LL. B (Hons.). Hence it is expected for
the students of this course to have basic understanding of ‘International law’ as such which has

expected that the students read and reflect upon every articles/case laws or other reading material
provided by the course instructor for every module.
