PHILOSOPHY

The University of Batangas, a stock non-sectarian, private educational institution,

believes in the pursuit of knowledge, values and skills necessary for the preservation
and improvement of the Philippine society. It has faith in the dignity of the human
person, in the democratic process, in the reward for individual excellence, and in the
freedom of a person to worship God according to his conscience. Thus, the institution
believes that the development of the individual as a person and worker is an effective
means in building a better family, community and nation, and a better world.

VISION

We envision the University of Batangas to be a center of excellence committed to serve

the broader community through quality education.

MISSION

The University of Batangas provides quality education by promoting personal and

professional growth and enabling the person to participate in a global, technology- and
research-driven environment.

OBJECTIVES

The University of Batangas aims to:

1.4.1 Pursue academic excellence through continuing search for the application of
truth, and knowledge and wisdom via traditional and alternative modes of instructional
delivery.

1.4.2 Promote moral and spiritual development through an integrated educational

process that will enhance human character and dignity;

1.4.3 Develop cultural, economic and socio-civic conscience through an educational

content relevant to national development needs, conditions and aspirations;

1.4.4 Strengthen involvement in community services through varied economic and

environmental projects;

1.4.5 Attain institutional self-reliance through responsive programs for staff, facilities and
systems development;

1.4.6 Ensure financial viability and profitability

1.4.7 Adopt internationalization to meet the shifting demands in the national, regional
and global labor environment; and

1.4.8 Increase the University's productivity and innovation in research, scholarship and
creative activities that impact economic and societal development

UNIVERSITY OF BATANGAS SENIOR HS DEPARTMENT

The University of Batangas Senior High School is a humanistic institution dedicated to

educate and empower 21st Century learners to become socially responsible and globally
competitive citizens committed to address the needs and demands of the changing world.

Philosophy

The Senior High School Education in UBBC is anchored on fostering holistic

development, equipping students with critical thinking, ethical awareness, and a lifelong
love for learning. The department should create an environment that encourages
exploration of diverse perspectives, cultivates essential life skills, and prepares students
to contribute positively to society. Ultimately, the philosophy should empower students to
become well- rounded individuals who embrace intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and
responsible citizenship.

Vision

To be the SHS school of choice for junior high school graduates in, or even out of
Batangas Province, from both public and private sectors.

Mission

UBBC SHS exists to produce graduates that are valued in leading industries and
accepted in premier universities and colleges of their choice.

Goals and Objectives:

The University of Batangas Senior High School aims to:

• prepare students for career and employment, entrepreneurship or higher

education by developing their communicative scientific, research, technological
and technical-vocational knowledge and skills;
• engage students in a broad range of opportunities in research, innovation and
work immersion for the development of 21st century skills.
• develop conscientious and humane learners;
 • promote empowerment and profound understanding of gender equality through
activities open for all gender
• strengthen school-community relations and cultural dynamism through various
outreach programs;
• support and challenge the learners to reach their full potential;
• encourage a culture of continuous learning and collaboration; and
• produce graduates capable of making effective contributions to the local, national
and global community

UBBC SHS GRADUATE ATTRIBUTES are in consonance to the fact that our life now is
largely impacted by what we share and what are being SHARED to us largely through
social media, thus the SHARE acronym:

• S – self assured

Individuals who are assured of themselves and are fully aware that they are
ready to either pursue college or start earning a living (aligned with the vision of
Batangas City to be a digital city)

• H – highly equipped

Individuals who have a good grasp of their discipline/strand and know how to
navigate through it

• A – abiding

Individuals who are imbued with the core values of the institution he/she is from,
have FAITH in God, love of WISDOM, and is willing to SERVE his fellowmen

Individuals who know how to accept new ideas, execute them, and pursue
innovation dictated by the times (has agility for change)
