II. Session Details
Session Title: Being kind in our Community
Session At the end of the lesson, the learner will be able to:
Objectives: 1. To understand the idea of compassion.
2. To demonstrate easy community-related responsibilities.
3. To develop a sense of responsibility and kindness towards the
community.

Key Concepts: 1.Responsibility-Being responsible means being prepared to


stand up on behalf of others and act and speak for them.
2.A community can also be define by describing the social and
political networks that links individuals,community
organizations, and leaders.Understanding these networks is
critical to planning efforts in engagement.
3.Taking actions- To do something :to act in order to get a
particular result.The committee is ready to take action.
4.Kindness- Iy is being selfless,cring, compassionate, and
unconditional kind,Like love,it takes practice to understand and
feel it. We sharelove with othersthrough kind acts such asa
smile,a nice word, an unexpected deed,or planned surprise.

Talk about simple responsibility in the community ,like keeping it

Concept
15 mins Activity – Kindness Tree:
Exploration
Draw a tree on the board and ask learners to suggest leaves with
different responsibilities written on them. Make it visible and
interactive.

Valuing 10 mins Creative Expression:


Have learners create simple drawings or crafts depicting how they
can fulfill a responsibility in their community. For example ,drawing
a picture of themselves helping a friend or picking up trash.

Group Sharing:
Allow learners learners to share their drawings or crafts with the
class , explaining what responsibility the choose and why.

Guided Sharing :
Facilitate a guided sharing session .Ask questions like “Who can tell
us about a responsibility they would like to take in their
community? Or How do you fell when you help others.?

Visual Reflection:
Provide stickers or emotions for learners to place on a large visual
poster to express their feelings about being kind ni their
community.
