II. Session Details
Session Title: I, WE, YOU, THEY!
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives:  Understand the importance of cooperation in intercultural relations and
demonstrate this through group activities and discussions.
 Appreciate the importance of cooperation and intercultural relations
through journal writing
 Show concrete cooperation through group activity.
Key Concepts:  Intercultural relations - are relations between groups or individuals from
different cultures. These relations can be characterized by the
acknowledgment of different world visions or by the ignorance of them.
Recognizing other ways of understanding the world and life, as well as
the capacity to develop a decentered attitude (to put oneself in someone
else’s shoes) might be helpful in order to develop positive intercultural
relations
 Community Awareness- is generally defined as knowledge created
through interaction between community people and its environment, a
setting bounded in space and time.
 Cooperation- the actions of someone who is being helpful by doing what
is wanted or asked for : common effort

III. Facilitation Strategies

Activity: Human Knot!


Conduct a "Human Knot" game where students stand in a circle,
Introduction and 10 cross their arms, and grab hands with two different people. They

of hands.

Activity: This is US!


Divide students into small groups to discuss how cooperation can
