II. Session Outline
Session Title: “Exploring Intercultural Relations: Building Bridges of
Understanding”
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) explain the importance of intercultural relations in fostering a
diverse and inclusive community;
b) recognize and value the role of community in fostering
intercultural relations;
c) express gratitude for the richness that diverse cultures bring to
our lives.
Key Concepts: The teacher will explain the following terms:
 Intercultural Communication: The exchange of ideas, beliefs,
and values between individuals from different cultural
backgrounds.
 Cultural Awareness: The ability to recognize, understand, and
appreciate the cultural differences and similarities among
people.
 Inclusivity: Creating an environment that embraces diversity
and ensures everyone feels valued and respected.
 Community Engagement: Active participation and collaboration
within a community to strengthen connections and
relationships.
 Gratitude: Recognizing and expressing appreciation for the
contributions of diverse cultures to our collective experiences.
III. Teaching Strategies

Activity: "Cultural Collage"
Materials needed: Magazines/printed pictures,
scissors, glue, cartolina/illustration board, markers.

Instructions:
 Divide participants into small groups.
 Provide each group with magazines, scissors, glue,
and a poster board.
A. Introduction

 Ask each group to create a collage on the poster
board that reflects the diversity and richness of
cultures.
 After completion, encourage groups to share their
collages and discuss the importance of including
diverse elements.

 Each group will have a role-playing activity where
they communicate with each other using different

 Form a circle and have representatives to express
gratitude for a specific aspect of a culture different

Activity: "Cultural Collage"
