Lesson Plan in Socio-Cultural Anthropology

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to;

a. define the concept of culture;
b. simulate the different components of culture through an
activity; and
c. appreciate the importance of cultural diversity in attaining
unity.

II. Subject Matter

B. Teaching Procedure
1. Activity
“KahonLugan”

The student will write any words inside the square that will
associate the word culture. The teacher will play a music and students
must relay the marker to the class, a student who will receive the
marker at the time the music will stop, shall be recognized to give a
word.

CULTURE

2. Analysis
● How would you define culture by using all words provided
by your classmates?
● Why do we need to study about culture?
3. Abstraction
Interactive discussion of the following.
- The Concept of Culture
- Characteristic of Culture
- Cultural Evolution
4. Application

“Pagkakaisa ng Pagkakaiba”
 The students will express their opinion in a creative way
highlighting the theme “Unity in Diversity”. They may have a
poster, poem, slogan, interpretative dance, or even through
singing.

Students will be graded accordingly:

- Creativity: 30 pts.
- Content: 50 pts.
- Presentation: 20 pts.

❖ Each group shall be assigned to four major tribes in

Monkayo.

- Dibabawon

- Mansaka

- Manobo
❖ Simulate their unique practices in the following aspects.

- Marriage Practices

- Economics Subsistence

- Political System

- Religious Practices

❖ Look for indigent resources for your props and costumes.

You will be given 30 minutes for your presentation.
