II. Session Details
Session Title: “Exploring Intercultural Relations”
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives:  to understand the concept of intercultural relations and its
significance in a globalized world.
 to foster empathy, respect, and appreciation for diverse
cultures and perspectives
Key Concepts:  Understanding cultural relativism helps individuals recognize
and appreciate the diversity of human cultures without
imposing their own cultural biases or ethnocentric viewpoints.
 It fosters empathy, open-mindedness, and respect for cultural
differences, ultimately promoting effective intercultural
communication and relations.

Warm-Up
Begin by asking students what they understand by the
term "intercultural relations."

Discuss why understanding and appreciating diverse


cultures is important in today's interconnected world.
Activity 1: “Cultural Identity Collage”
(Individual Activity)

Materials Needed:

Magazines, newspapers or printed images


Scissors
Glue
Poster boards or large sheets of paper
Markers or colored pencils

Activity Instructions:

Explain the “Cultural Identity Collage” activity to


the students.
Provide students the materials needed in the
activity.
Instruct them to create a collage that represents
different aspects of their cultural identity.
Provide magazines, newspaper or printed images

Encourage students to select images, words or
symbols that resonate with their cultural

Collage Creation:

Allow students time to work on their collages

Remind the students to be creative and expressive
in their collage compositions.

Activity 2: Reflection and Sharing

After completing their collages, invite students to


reflect on the elements they included and why they
chose them.
Encourage volunteers to share their collages with
