Specific Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Define socialization in comprehensive manner.
2. React to the given pictures on how personality is being shaped or
influenced by the different agents of socialization
3. Demonstrate a scenario on the importance of socialization in your life.

D. Discussing new concepts and Socialization is a life-long process where individuals learn the norms and beliefs of a society. From our family and
practicing new skills, sub- experiences, we are made aware of societal values. It is also defined as the process of preparing members for
activity #1 membership in a society.

Socialization is a learning process that begins shortly after birth. Human infants are born without any culture. They
must be transformed by their parents, teachers, and others into cultural and socially human beings. During
socialization, we learn the language of the culture we are born into as well as the roles we are to play in life. For
instance, boys learn how to be sons, brothers, friends, husbands, and fathers. In addition, they learn about the
occupational roles that their society has in store for them
