Passive Voice

Change the active sentences into passive sentences. Look if the sentence is written in Simple
Present or Simple Past.

Example: She breaks the window with a hammer. The window is broken with a hammer by her.

2. Somebody stole the cell phone. The cell phone was stolen by somebody

3. The doctor palpated the stomach. The stomach was palpated by the doctor

4. You write a beautiful story. A beautiful story is written by you

5. They gave a gift to the little boy. A gift was given to the little boy by them

6. I broke a needle. A needle was broken by me

7. We see the thief in the center. The thief is seen in the center by us

8. The nurses prepared the patient for surgery. The patient was prepared for surgery by the
nurses.
