INTRODUCTION

With this work we will improve our English speaking and written skills by practicing
the verbs in present simple, past simple and the active voice into the passive voice.
We will be better at speaking correctly by knowing the correct form of the verbs
and to know when and how to use them.
Change sentences from present simple to past simple
Sentences are given in the present simple tense. Change them into the past simple
tense.
Example:

Change these sentences in the present simple into the past simple:

1. My mother watches the weather news in the morning.


My mother watched the weather news yesterday.

2. I work at the Weather Channel.


I worked at the Weather Channel last year.

3. My wife runs a retail store.

Change sentences from active voice to passive voice


Sentences are given in the active voice. Change them into the passive voice.

Change these sentences in the active voice into the passive voice:

1. We made hotdogs for the party.

3. Meteorologists predict the weather.

The simple present tense expresses daily habits or usual activities.


The simple present tense is used for events or situations that exist always, usually,
or routinely in the past, present, and future.
