PERSONAL QUESTIONS

My name is Laura Valentina Susa Carvajal, I´m 23 years, I finished subjects in June
of this year, I still have 2 preparatory courses to go and clearly this and the last level
of English to graduate next year. I live with my parents, my little brother, my dog and
my cat.
How do you see yourself 20 years from now?
In 20 years or less I see myself as a great lawyer in the area of intellectual property
or civil liability, serving God with one family and children, perhaps in another country,
with a master's and doctorate on my career, with very good financial stability and
traveling through different parts of the world singing because I sing since I can
remember and exercising my career.
How do you see the city in the future in terms of technology and the
environment?
I believe that in the future Colombia, in terms of the environment, could have a
shortage of water due to environmental contamination, the El Niño phenomenon...
nature would diminish, there would not be so many trees, but instead they would be
replaced by buildings, houses... I also believe that it could have many advantages
with respect to technology since surely in 10 years or less different electronic devices
could be implemented to facilitate daily tasks and at the same time it would create
disadvantages because the machines could replace the work of many people and
leave them unemployed. , as well as there would be many more robots which can
generate benefits such as artificial intelligence but in the long term there could be an
invasion of these robots in human life.
IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY OR MAN'S GREATEST INVENTION
Initially, people took advantage of the mechanical energy generated by the flow of
rivers to drive their grinding and manufacturing machines. With the invention of the
steam engine it was possible to generate rotational movement, converting thermal
energy into mechanical energy. These systems evolved to develop steam ships that
would reduce travel times to the new continent and the first locomotives that would
link the east and west coasts of the United States.

Later, with the use of the electric generator, it was possible to convert mechanical
energy into electricity by rotating conductors in magnetic fields. This energy could
be transmitted through cables, which led to the construction of centralized power
plants, thermal, hydraulic, nuclear, etc., for the distribution in the form of electric
current.
