ASSIGNMENT ONE
a) The concept of MSMES was introduced in Kenya in 1972 by international labour
organization (ILO) as solution to solve unemployment problem, economic development, and
foreign earner among others. However, it continues to face multiple challenges 52yrs down
the line. From the above statement;
i) List THREE challenges facing entrepreneurs today (3mks)
ii) List three measures government is taking to address them (3mks)
iii) Advice the Government and entrepreneurs how best to deal with those challenges in
your view (4mks)
iv) List ten (10) key motivators both internal and external that motivates an entrepreneur
to go into self-employed business (10mks)
v) As one draws a business plan, why it is important to include all the curriculum vitae’s
of the key personnel’s in the management sector. (5 marks)
Business location is key for an entrepreneur who has conceptualized an idea. Explain
the reasons why this is so (5 marks)
