Introduction
Background:
Online pet animal trading is also known as Livestock. Livestock is commonly
defined as domesticated animals raised in an agricultural setting to produce
labor and commodities such as meat, eggs, milk, fur, leather, and wool. The
term is sometimes used to refer solely to those that are bred for consumption,
while other times it refers only to farmed ruminants, such
as cattle, sheep and goats.
The Livestock marketing performance become poor mainly due to poor market
facilities and services, poor access to market centre and transportation,
inadequate market information, shortage of credit service, oligopolistic market
structure, and subjective/biased pricing practices.
To overcome the lack of proper marketing and access to all over the world an
website is introduce i.e. “Online Animal Trading” which connect the user to
the world digitally.
“Online Pet Animal Trading” project helps the user to buy or sell by providing
them online platform. The user has to first login their account by entering valid
username and password so as to be able to perform other activities. If the user
is the owner of an animal he has to enter the detail about their animal like age,
gender, price, and the other relevant things and all this will be displayed at the
other end to the buyer. All these detail provided by the owner helps the
customer to finalize animal purchasing. This application provide user filter
such as name and price will help them to search for an animal easily with
affordable prize.

Literature survey
1. Zewdie Kifle has done a research on afar region, Ethiopia for the
Assessment of the Performance of Goats Marketing System. The specific
objectives of the study are: examining the nature and types of market tiers,
market participants and market channels; evaluating the availability of
goats marketplace facilities and services; evaluating access to market,
market information, credit services and transportation; analyzing the
market structure and conduct in relation to marketing performance; and
examining the pricing practices in goats marketing system of the region.
2. J.-P. Dudeuf a,*, P. Morand-Fehr b and R. Rubino, have done goat are
consider to be very important for their contribution to development of rural
zone and people, were the situation of each goat production was analyzed
and compared. Each economic factor and its role in the processes of
production, transformation, and marketing were analyzed by taking into
account the present situation and prospects of markets. From this approach,
the organization of a goat milk sector appears to be very dependent on the
existing competitive situation with the cow milk sector, since goat milk is
generally still not widely sold but consumed locally.
3. Tesfaye Tsegaye has been done a research in 2009 on Production Systems
and On- Farm Evaluation of the Growth Performance of Grazing Goats
Supplemented With different Protein Sources, The study was carried out in
Metema Woreda of Amhara National Regional State. The objectives of the
study were to describe the goat production systems in the study area and to
identify major constraints and opportunities of goat productivity; to
evaluate the effect of supplementation with different protein sources on
live weight gain of grazing goats under farmer’s management and to
evaluate the economic feasibility of the feeding system under farmer’s
condition.
4. Ramesh Chandra Mondal, Ashok Sinha and Kalishankar Chattopadhyay
they have done research on Market access and constraints in marketing of
goats and their product in West Bengal ,were they describe that Human
being had begun to domesticate goat since early dawn of civilization and
since then it has occupied and important place in the world of livestock.
Goat is reared almost in all corners of the world. It is stouter among the
small ruminants. The temperament of the goat indicated that it is not easily
confined to a flock, but looks out individually its own grazing pasture. It

can graze even in more inaccessible and dangerous hummock and hilltops.
Goat sustains easily, and the leaves of young tree and plants are its favorite
food. It likes warmer and smooth climate. Reproduction of goat starts at an
early age of eight to ten months. It is generally pastorates one or two and
sometimes more than two kids at a time.
Problem Statement
In rural area the pet animal (goat, cow, etc.) trade happen at small scale
only, this effect on the trade economically too. If the customer has to buy any
animal they have to search for it in overall area which is much time consuming,
also there are not much choices of an animal so in emergency they have to buy
whatever they get. And during this pandemic an animal trade has been affected
badly.
Proposed Methodology
Traditionally, in rural area the pet animal (goat, cow, etc.) trade happens at small
scale in nearby areas only. This traditional trading approach may or may not have
adequate profit as expected by the sellers. On other side buyers have the less
number of verities to explore. To solve above problem, in proposed system the
web application will be developed so as to make available a common platform
for both buyers and sellers. The proposed system maintains a proper balance
which tends to reduce time consumption by providing nth of animal available on
one platform with full information including their habitat as well. As it connects
multiple buyers; sellers can get huge opportunity to sell their animals. So to
perform animal trading online becomes very help full for the common people. In
proposed system there are two types of user accounts. The user account type-1 for
seller and account type-2 for buyer. Here, firstly user has to create their new
account or profile as per type-1 or type-2 as per his requirement. User has to do a
valid data entry such as proper username, strong password and verified contact
detail, and then if they want to sell something so they must have to provide all the
detail of animal that the animal is breaded in which type of field, category of the
animal, their gender. Customer can buy animals as per their requirement. Also
they can search for the animals by their price, name with the help of the filter in
the application. After the search if user is interested to buy animal they can
directly contact to the owner with the help of given details like phone number
email address and easily finalize for the animal they are interested. Payment
status can be visible for both customer and seller.

System Architecture
With web applications, you have the server vs. the client side. In essence, there
are two programs running concurrently:
The code which lives in the browser and responds to user input
The code which lives on the server and responds to HTTP requests
When writing an app, it is up to the web developer to decide what the code on the
server should do in relation to what the code on the browser should do. With
server-side code, languages include:
Ruby on Rails
PHP
C#
Java
Python
JavaScript
In fact, any code that can respond to HTTP requests has the capability to run on a
server. Here are a few other attributes of server-side code:
CSS
JavaScript
HTML
These are then parsed by the user’s browser. Moreover, client-side code can be
seen and edited by the user. Plus, it has to communicate only through HTTP
requests and cannot read files off of a server directly. Furthermore, it reacts to
user input.
Testing
Testing is a process of executing a program with the aim of finding error. To
make our software perform well it should be error free. If testing is done
successfully it will remove all the errors from the software.
Types of Testing:-
1. Unit Testing:-
2. Integration Testing
The objective is to take unit tested components and build a program structure that
has been dictated by design. Integration testing is testing in which a group of
components are combined to produce output.
3. Regression Testing
Every time new module is added leads to changes in program. This type of
testing make sure that whole component works properly even after adding
components to the complete program.
4. Smoke Testing
This test is done to make sure that software under testing is ready or stable for
further testing. It is called smoke test as testing initial pass is done to check if it
did not catch the fire or smoked in the initial switch on.
5. Alpha Testing
6. Beta Testing
The beta test is conducted at one or more customer sites by the end-user of the
software. This version is released for the limited number of users for testing in
real time environment.
7. System Testing
In this software is tested such that it works fine for different operating system. It
is covered under the black box testing technique. In this we just focus on required
input and output without focusing on internal working. IN this we have security
testing, recovery testing, stress testing and performance testing.
8. Stress Testing
In this we give unfavourable conditions to the system and check how they
perform in those conditions.
9. Performance Testing

CONCLUSION
The proposed “Online Pet Animal Trading” project provides a GUI, user-friendly
software system through which user can buy or sell their animals on online
platform. Attaining all Http, CSS, Java script features, this system is platform
independent and flexible. We have briefly explained and defined Digital Animal
Trading, which is in my opinion an effective website to do so many things
regarding buying or selling in any field of Animal Husbandry , i.e. this website
can be used in real life, businesses, governments and more. Also, we have shown
various features and how they function well.
