CMP5324-Smart Systems3Module Learning Outcomes§LO1- Demonstrate knowledge of the
fundamental theoretical concepts underpinning smart systems.§LO2- Research and
compare various smart systems technologies for given industrial applications.§LO3-
Apply an appropriate approach and techniques to transform data into meaningful
information.§LO4- Develop and evaluate an appropriate smart business solution to
provide a required output.
CMP5324-Smart Systems6Smart Systems Module (Cont.…)q Data Visualisation and
Reporting are business intelligent tools that displays the current status of
metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for an enterprise.
This includes a conceptual model and its components for the proposed system.§Task3–
Implement the proposed system (30%) based on the developed technical
specifications.
This task will develop student's critical thinking by allowing students to search
and investigate on best practice that can be adopted to develop and deploy the
provided technical specifications in task 2.§Task4 – Technical Demo (20%), in this
task the students are required to present, and answer questions about their working
model/system..CMP5324-Smart Systems10Smart Systems: Module Assessment

Systems14Smart System Module: Important Tips• In this module we want all students
to do WELL •If there is a problem please let us know•It is quite normal in this
course for confusion• There are so many terms which are used •It is a very large
subject area• A lot of technology is covered by the general title of Internet of
Things!• It is difficult to follow all of the developments and we intend to discuss
only the ones which you will at the moment regular see / employers will expect you
to know about.
