Being a teacher that handles this special program and children, needs a lot of patience
and passion for their work. Moreover, the lesson misty tackled the early intervention
towards the special needs of special student for a better learning experience.
Intervention strategies for students with special needs play an important role in
the personal approach is important. The lesson tackled the Individualized Education
Program (IEP): Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), schools
provide an education designed to meet the special needs of children with disabilities.
This includes services such as talk therapy and counseling where the goal is to help
students progress in their education, and the early intervention that includes: Infants
aged 1-6 months where sensory interaction focuses on sounds, visual cues, tactile
experiences, and motor development. Babies begin to move and separate things and
express emotions such as fear, surprise, and hunger. 12-24 months which increases
awareness of interactions. Encourage multiple thinking activities that reflect the learning
For a successful fulfillment of the children with special needs the presentation suggest a
good collaboration between the teachers and parents because I believe that making
them feel they are included and prioritized at school and at home is the most important
thing for children with special needs. It also requires a lot of time and attention for more
effectivity because unlike the usual learners they are having a hard time coping with the
usual lessons at school. Based on the learning I had for this presentation I therefore
conclude that educators that teaches these type of children should have a good
communication and partnership to their parents so he/she can give different at home
activities to ensure the fast and good learning experience of the child.
