Values

• SIP trunk easy setup thanks to an OXO Webpage

• All technical configuration is done behind the scene (SIP trunk, SIP Gateway, SIP
account, numbering, …)
• Could be used for first installation or later for adding other SIP trunks

How

• In the OXO settings Webpage, the installer selects the SIP profile he wants to use
• The SIP profile is chosen from a list filtered according to the OXO release and the
software target
• Few parameters to fill in the Settings OXO Webpage (SIP trunk, the SIP gateway,
and the SIP account)

Details

• Prerequisite : systems must be Cloud Connected

• Available for OCO and OCE
• The service eases the installation of a public SIP trunk:
• Avoid the installer to download the SIP profile from “My Portal” and to upload it
via OMC
• Avoid the installer to configure many SIP parameters
• Future modifications of SIP trunk can be done via OMC

provider whose profile is
installed, as well as the non-
profile settings to be
configured manually

Here below is a typical example for France, comprising four Prefix entries/ranges

User comment
•Line 1: copes with standard phone numbers starting with digit 0 (national / international calls)
•Line 2: copes with all public emergency numbers. The network attribute "emerg" permits the line to point automatically to the system list of emergency numbers. This
list is country-dependent and can be edited via the OMC menu Emergency-> Emergency Numbers
•Line 3 and 4: for external short numbers. Depending on the country, the complete list of short numbers will require one or several ARS lines.
•Line 3: example for France, for short numbers that begin with digit 3 (e.g. 3611, 3900, …)
•Line 4: example for France, for short numbers that begin with digit 1 (e.g. 112, 118712, …)

Create and assign Anydevice/virtual terminals to rainbow user accounts for VoIP

Implementation
In order to use all capabilities of PBX-Rainbow phone features, 2 different user profiles can be created :

- User with physical extension and Rainbow application:

o Allows to manage telephone communications from the physical extension or the Rainbow
application, web or mobile (Softphone mode). Requires a physical extension + a Free Rainbow
virtual terminal.

- Rainbow user only (Softphone and mobile mode), without a physical extension:
o All communications are managed via the Rainbow app, web or mobile. Use in Softphone mode,
no physical extension. Requires an Anydevice terminal.

Notes
• Deskphone + Free Rainbow virtual terminal = 1 UTL
• Anydevice only = 1 UTL

1 Users with physical extension and Rainbow application

Users manage their communications from their extension or Rainbow application, according to the chosen
routing.

Associate each user with extension, Virtual Free Rainbow in Twinset terminal:
User 100
- Create Virtual Free Rainbow in Twinset terminal: 130
- Associate it with extension 100 as a secondary set (Directory number 100 is already
associated with the Rainbow user account)

In Virtual Classroom:
User 104 (IPDSP)
- Create Virtual Free Rainbow in Twinset terminal: 135
- Associate it with extension 104 as a secondary set (Directory number 104 is already
associated with the Rainbow user account)

- User1 will be Rainbow Softphone user.

8328 base stations and 8214 handsets classroom installation

Implementation

The following procedure describes the declaration of an 8214 DECT handset on a single-cell
8328 base station. More information can be found in the document 8328 SIP-DECT SINGLE
BASE SATION – System Guide, available on the Alcatel MyPortal website.

8328 base stations and 8214 handsets classroom installation

1 Deployment of an 8328 base station

1.1. Configuring the OXO DHCP Server

The factory IP configuration of an 8328 base station is a dynamic IP configuration. Therefore, a DHCP
server must be present and configured in order to respond to the request from this DECT 8328 base
station.

Manage the OXO DHCP server here in order to address the 8328

1.2. DHCP settings in the OMC

OMC/ hardware and limits / LAN/IP Configuration / DHCP tab

Enable the built-in DHCP
server

Enter the @IP range

192.168.1.10 to 192.168.1.69

IMPORTANT: Don't forget to activate Auto-Provisioning in the menu of the Subscribers/Basestations List.
Notes
Connect the 8328 to the IP network using an Ethernet cable. After a while, it should flash green, which means
it has received its IP settings and can access the network.

1.3. Initial Setup of the 8328 DECT Base sation with Web Admin

Using the 8328 administration web interface, configure the following settings :
- Country : France
- NTP Server : 192.168.1.254
- OXO Server Declaration

Tips
If you don't know the IP address of the base station 8328, for example, if its MAC address has not been specified
in the DHCP server to provide a fixed IP address, you can use an 8214 handset to find it out. To do this, on the
handset in the idle state, press the "menu" button, then dial *47*, you will access the base station search
function :
