Define Hierarchy Structure for BOD

and Region Pattern

Use
If you work with bills of distribution (BODs) or region patterns in
Extended Service Parts Planning (eSPP), you must first specify which hierarchy
structure for location hierarchies is to be used as the hierarchy structure for BODs or
region patterns. You can define just one hierarchy structure as the hierarchy structure
for BODs or region patterns.

Prerequisites
Via the Implementation Guide (IMG)
for Extended Service Parts Planning under Master Data Hierarchy Define
Hierarchy Structure, you have defined a hierarchy structure for location hierarchies
that you wish to use as the hierarchy structure for BODs or region patterns. This
hierarchy structure determines the maximum possible number of hierarchy levels of all
BODs or region patterns you create.l

Procedure
1. In the IMG for Extended Service Parts Planning, choose Master
Data Product Maintain Product-Relevant Hierarchies and Hierarchy
Structures.

2. In the relevant field, enter the name of the hierarchy structure you wish to use as
the BOD hierarchy structure or as the hierarchy structure for region patterns.

3. Save your input.

Result
When you create a BOD or a region pattern, the system automatically selects the
structure specified here as the underlying hierarchy structure.
