Used for bird flushing of thick underbrush in 1700’s.
Dense, straight coat. Soft, but weather resistant. Good amount of feathering on underbelly, and
moderate on the ears, hock, and forelegs. Natural feet and light trimming around the stomach
and hocks is expected.
cocker spaniel
Smallest of snorting spaniels. Smart, with high stamina and love of people.
Short, fine hairs on the head. Medium length coat on the body, with the undercoat providing
protections. Silky, flat, and slightly wavy. A outline time is preferable.
English settler.
A gun dog, gentle and elegant.
Flat, without curl or wolliness. Feather is usual along body, and is general trimmed as to not
inhibit dogs movement or natural body.

Bred to find, flush, and fetch game in heavy cover.
