Task 1 | Pie Chart
Write an overview and a body paragraph which compares the highest and lowest figures
of each category for this question.
The pie charts show the average consumption of food in the world in 2008 compared to
two countries: China and India.

The graph compares the proportion of 4 types of food between the world and two nations
(China, India) in 2008.
Overall, the percentage of processed food was the largest of the three groups. It is clear that
the figures for China saw a slight fluctuation than the others.
It can be seen that most people in the world including China and India consumed processed
food. The figures highest from the world stood at 41%, followed by China with 35%, and
India 32%. Vegetables and fruits were a favorite food, ranking second just before processed
food in the world and India accounted for 29 and 32,respectively. In contrast, the figures for
vegetables and fruits in China ranked third about 23% overall.
The animal food in India bears a resemblance to the world in the range of 27% and 26%.
These figures were almost double for China, which had just 13% of animal food consumed.
However the average consumption of nuts and seeds reached at 19% higher quadruple of the
world with 4%, and 11% of India's nuts and seeds was consumed.
