Keshav’s unwavering determination and academic excellence earned him a
seat at IIT Delhi and made him a proud recipient of the BYPL SASHAKT
Scholarship 2020-21
After I lost my father to pancreatic cancer in 2013, my family was neck-deep in debt. My
sister dropped out of her regular college to support the family. Luckily, after my Class 12, I
was selected for a free IIT coaching programme. I took advantage of this opportunity by
securing an AIR 487 in JEE Main. Ultimately, I got enrolled in a B.Tech. (Mechanical Engi-
neering) programme at IIT Delhi. Considering my economically disadvantaged background,
IIT waived my entire tuition fee. However, pursuing my graduation without stressing about
my remaining academic expenses was still a challenge. At this point, I found information on
BYPL SASHAKT Scholarship 2020-21 and applied for the same.
Fortunately, I received a crucial monetary scholarship support, which I utilised to cover

some crucial education-related expenses. I am extremely grateful to BSES Yamuna Power
Limited for this generous support, without which, I wouldn’t have been able to pass my
B.Tech. in 2021 with an 8.9 CGPA.
