INTENTION: Answer the following questions about your performance:

● What music elements will you apply while performing Beethoven’s “Ode to
Joy”? (If you use dynamics, add the relative symbols on the score: p, mp,..)

What is Beethoven’s uniqueness according to you?

● While performing “Ode to Joy?” I will use a crescendo during more meaningful
parts, to bring out the overall tonality of the piece. Not to mention, using a time
signature of 4 beats per bar.

● For me, Beethoven’s uniqueness had stemmed from his unique ability to
translate his feelings into musical pieces, in very meaningful ways, that had led
to him procuring such a large fan base. His undoubted skill also adds to his
uniqueness, from the fact that even when he was deaf he was able to imagine
the notes mentally and then write symphonies, concertos and sonatas later on in
his career.
