INCORPORATION OF SEATING AREAS AND IMPROVED VEGETATIONS

The major road rehabilitation on Amadeo Avenue Street aims to provide a safe environment for both the
passersby/public and also the vehicles using the road.

Enhancement of Pedestrian Crossings: To improve pedestrian safety and traffic flow, the rehabilitation
project includes the addition and enhancement of pedestrian crossings with high-visibility markings and
modern signaling technologies including countdown timers. Also incorporating an audible signal that
provides auditory cues to aid those with visual impairments.

Additional Pedestrian and Traffic Lights and Signages: To improve traffic management and enhance road
safety, additional traffic lights have been installed at key intersections along Amadeo Avenue. Clear and
informative traffic signages have also been strategically placed to guide motorists and pedestrians.

Installation of Ramps: The rehabilitation of the road also incorporates the installation of ramps at every
intersection or crossing, ensuring accessibility for individuals having disabilities most especially for those
who use strollers or wheelchairs.

Tactile Paving: Tactile paving has been installed to assist visually impaired pedestrians in navigating the
street safely.

Bike Lane: A designated bike lane has been incorporated into the roadway design as a recognition of the
value of environmentally friendly transportation. Separated from vehicular traffic, the bike lane
encourages cycling as a safe and convenient mode of transport.

Incorporation of Seating Areas and Improved Vegetation: In order to give pedestrians a place to rest and
socialize, the reconstruction project includes seating spots throughout the avenue. Better vegetation, such
as trees and plants, not only makes an area more aesthetically pleasing but also supports urban
biodiversity and reduces the effects of urban heat islands, which in turn benefits the environment.
