The Epic Hero
Beowulf heroically slays the
monsters, by his courage to
attack and save the land.
Defeating Demons
Anglo- saxon epic heroes are
willing to put their own lives in
danger for the greater good, with
a sense of security and they
display honor in every act.
Bravery and Vulnerability
Later in life, Beowulf becomes
the King of the Geats. Attacked
by venomous monsters, he
fought with bravery but was
defeated in the battle.
Fitting Burial
Beowulf's subjects mourn to
death, but even in death, he
protected his people- sparing
them from the curse tied to the
treasures. His death pays honor
to his heroic acts, befitting a
king and a savior.
