Dear Falling Walls Alumni and Jury member!

First of all I would like to share with you some good news: There will be a 5th edition of Falling Walls Lab
Madagascar in May 2024!
For me personally it will be the last one as my time as DAAD lecturer will end after five years in July this year.
I am more than grateful for the journey we made together with Falling Walls Lab in Madagascar and to have
gotten to know many inspiring people and projects!

I am contacting you today concerning an upcoming mentoring program that will be linked with Falling Walls
Lab this year, in order to support the participants with the preparation of their projects:

The current Fulbright teaching assistant Katie Pederson is planning to launch an Entrepreneurship club at the
American Corner Ankatso.
I want to invite you to take part of this Club as participant or Mentor to share your experience and network with
other Malagasy business leaders. Please find below Katies presentation of the club and contact details. Feel free
to get in touch directly with her!

The Falling Walls Team will get back to you soon with more details and the poster for the Falling Walls Lab
2024!

"The Entrepreneurship Club will meet in a workshop format each Thursday from 10:30 AM until 12 PM at the
American Corner of Antananarivo. Each week, members will meet to learn about a new step of business
development, such as conducting market research, developing a plan, finding collaborators, setting a budget,
exploring marketing options, improving business English, and networking. Each participant will be matched
with a mentor who will be available to answer their questions and provide advice remotely for the duration of
the program. The Entrepreneurship Club will run from the beginning of March through May and will conclude
with the Falling Walls Lab pitch contest organized by DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service.

I would like to ask you as Falling Walls Alumni, if you want to be part as a Mentor of this Club? (Or as
participant - as you like!)
Mentors will be asked to attend one session of the Entrepreneurship Club and share their expertise.
Additionally, they will be asked to share their contact information with mentees and answer their questions and
inquiries as time allows. In return, they will be able to network with other Malagasy business leaders, list
"Entrepreneurship Club Mentor" on future resumes and applications, and grow the business community of
Antananarivo.

Tout d'abord j'aimerais partager avec vous une bonne nouvelle : Il y aura une 5ème édition de Falling Walls Lab
Madagascar en mai 2024 !

Pour moi personnellement, ce sera la dernière puisque mon mandat de professeur au DAAD prendra fin après cinq ans
en juillet de cette année. Je suis plus que reconnaissante du voyage que nous avons fait avec Falling Walls Lab à
Madagascar et d'avoir fait la connaissance de nombreuses personnes et projets inspirants !

« Le Club d'Entreprenariat se réunira sous forme d'ateliers chaque jeudi de 10h30 à 12h à l'American Corner
d'Antananarivo. Chaque semaine, les membres se réuniront pour découvrir une nouvelle étape du développement
commercial, comme réaliser des études de marché, développer élaborer un plan, trouver des collaborateurs, établir un
budget, explorer les options marketing, améliorer l'anglais des affaires et réseauter. Chaque participant sera jumelé à un
mentor qui sera disponible pour répondre à ses questions et lui prodiguer des conseils à distance pendant toute la durée
du programme. Le club se déroulera de début mars à mai et se terminera par le concours de pitch Falling Walls Lab
organisé par le DAAD - Service allemand d'échanges universitaires.

J'aimerais vous demander, en tant qu'anciens de Falling Walls, si vous souhaitez faire partie en tant que mentor de ce
club ? (Ou en tant que participant - comme vous le souhaitez !)

Les mentors seront invités à assister à une séance du Club Entrepreneuriat et à partager leur expertise. De plus, il leur
sera demandé de partager leurs coordonnées avec les mentorés et de répondre à leurs questions et demandes de
renseignements lorsque le temps le permet. En retour, ils pourront réseauter avec d'autres chefs d'entreprise
malgaches, inscrire le « Mentor du Club d'entrepreneuriat » sur leurs futurs CV et candidatures, et développer la
communauté des affaires d'Antananarivo.
