 Physical quantities and measurement techniques

 Speed, acceleration, and velocity
 Spead-time graphs, and distance time graphs(as well as their diagrams)


What do I want learners to know and/or be able to do?

 Know exactly which instruments are used for measuring various quantities in physics.
 Measuring density
 Know Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion and their application
 Define and workout force related problems

This week learners will:

1. Conduct a simple experiment on measuring the heart-beat rate of a human per minute. The idea is to see and
appreciated the importance of measurements in the physics world.
2. Learn how to use and take readings from a venier callipers and micrometer
3. Learn the difference between scalar quantities and vector quantities (include correctly drawing vectors)
4. Do an experiment to determine the density of an object.
5. Lesson Analysis: How did the students do?
6. - -The students understood the importance of measurements, they role in physics and how they can be applied
to different cenarios.
7. _- The students were able to add vectors, even doing the process graphically.
8. – The students conducted the experiment of determining the density of a material
