Query : What is primary responsibility of Interior Guard?(5pts)
Explain your answer(10pts)
Commanding Officer – the commanding of the guard is the officer, SNCO, or
noncommissioned officer (NCO) who ensures proper instruction, discipline, and
performance of the guard. The commander of the guard in large guard units is an
SNCOIC. In small guard units, the senior NCO is responsible for this position in addition
to formal duties.

Commander of the Relief- the relief consists of those members of the interior guard
who, under the supervision of and including a corporal of the guard, have the same
watch. A relief takes place when all of the sentries of one relief relieve sentries of
another relief. The corporal of the guard normally conducts a relief.
Sergeant of the Guard- the sergeant of the guard is the NCO of the guard who assists
the commander of the guard in ensuring proper instruction, discipline, and performance
of the guard.

Corporal of the Guard- the corporal of the guard is enlisted marine in charge of one
relief of the guard. The corporal of the guard stands the same tour of duty as the relief.

Part B. Case situation:

Cadet Gregorio and Cadet Bonie was schedule to guard their post at the ROTC
office from 0700-1200H, however the next guards scheduled for the shift is from
1130H to 1700H, did not show up. At 1100H Both of them is tired and hungry, exactly
1200H Cadets Gregorio and Cadet Bonie hurriedly left the area.
Query:
1. Is their actions correct? Yes or No, justify your answer(5pts).
No, their actions are not correct because it is very wrong to leave their assigned
area without any substitute. Anything could go wrong and anything could happen in just
seconds or minutes and it is very alarming that no one was guarding a post that should
be guarded.

2. With there actions is there a violation of 11 General Orders? If None, do

not answer this portion. If YES, Enumerate atleast 2 if there is, then
justify(5pts each).
Yes, there are some General Orders that they have violated.
 To call the commander of the relief in any case not covered by instruction.
 To quit my post only when properly relieved.
