Sensory Soup
Here is another great activity for sensory play as children explore the lintel soup while recalling the story.
Skills learned:
Materials needed:
Red lentils, Plastic zip bag, Water, Tape
Preparation:
Pour some red lentils into the plastic zip bag, add
water about half full, seal bag, and tape.
Retell the Bible story and have them repeat words after you, such as: Jacob, Esau,
brothers, lentils, soup, blessing, hear, touch, taste.
You may also ask them what they hear when they pat on the bag.
Remind them that we hear with our ears and that Isaac heard Jacob but couldn’t
see him, just like you can’t see the lentils in the water until you touch the bag.
