Its name is Chinese New Year or also known as the Spring Festival and it is well known

worldwide. It is a traditional Chinese festival the whole country and foreigners attend and is
celebrated from the second Saturday to the fourth Sunday evening of February and is
performed annually also the year two thousand and twenty-four being the year of the dragon.
It is celebrated in China and in some other countries but it varies depending on the country. It
take place for 15 days.

The people celebrate it to "welcome the happiness that comes with good fortune, demolish
the old and bring in the new, and pray for a good harvest" throughout the year by means of
offerings.

In this event you can parade, attend concerts and see exhibitions, throwing lanterns into the
sky, throw fireworks or dress up as a dragon or in traditional Chinese clothing, as well as enjoy
the nienyefan, their New Year's Eve dinner and eat their delicious empanadas or cakes.
