A calm sea, a calm me—that is usually the case.

Like how the moon reflects the light of the sun, the state of the sea is reflected by
my mood. However, there were times that even when the sea is in chaos, I’d still be comforted by it—by the sound of crashing
waves, by the beauty of its vastness and by the way it looks ethereal when it seems to meet the sky on the horizon. The waves, the
sand and pebbles, and even the unknown lurking in the deepest of it: they all comfort me; everything about the sea does.

In times when my mind is drowning in negativity—when sadness, anxiety, or self-doubt chases me like a mad man and even when I
feel like drowning from the life of being a student—the sea is a dear friend of mine. It gives me a space to think, reflect, and to feel.
It washes away the negativity I feel along with the waves. But even when I’m in good mood, I’d still run toward it for it offers me
and bless my eyes with unique beauty and wonders that the mountainous side or the city life does not possess.
