Project Title: Hanging Plastic Pot from Recycled Materials

Project Objective:Design and create a sustainable and aesthetically pleasing hanging plastic pot using
recycled materials.

PROJECT STEPS:

Research and Planning: a. Research suitable recycled materials that can be used for the hanging pot. B.
Determine the dimensions and design for the plastic pot. C. Identify tools and equipment needed for the
project.Material Collection and Preparation: a. Collect recycled materials such as old containers, ropes,
or fabric. B. Prepare the materials by cleaning, cutting, and shaping them according to the design.Pot
Assembly:

a. Construct the main structure of the plastic pot using recycled containers. B. Connect and secure the
recycled materials to form the hanging structure.Pot Modification: a. Cut an opening for the plant in the
plastic pot. B. Ensure proper drainage holes for water to escape.Pot Decoration: a. Paint or decorate the
plastic pot using eco-friendly paint or artistic designs.Hanging Mechanism: a. Attach ropes, chains, or
fabric straps to the pot for hanging. B. Ensure the hanging mechanism is strong and secure.Planting and

PROCEDURE:

Gather Materials:

 Plastic bottles (cleaned and dried)

 Scissors
 String or twine
 Hole puncher
 Potting soil
 Plants or seeds

Prepare the Plastic Bottles:

Cut the plastic bottles horizontally, leaving the top portion as the pot and discarding the
bottom.Make drainage holes in the bottom of the bottle using the hole puncher.Attach Strings

Cut four equal-length pieces of string or twine.Tie them securely around the neck of the plastic
bottle, evenly spaced, to create hanging points.Create a Hanging.
Assembly:
Gather the loose ends of the strings and tie them together at the top to create a loop for
hanging.Fill with Potting Soil:Fill the plastic pot with potting soil, leaving enough space at the
top for the plants and watering.Plant Your Plants:Plant your desired plants or seeds into the
potting soil.Hang Your Pot:Hang the pot in a suitable location, ensuring it’s securely attached
to a hook or structure.Water and Maintain:Water the plants as needed, ensuring proper
drainage through the holes.Monitor and care for your plants regularly, adjusting their
