Examples with the verb to be (negative /positive/ interrogative) :
_Positive : You are happy today.
_ Negative : You are not happy today.
_ Interrogative : Are you happy?

_Positive: He is smart.
_Negative: He is not smart.
_Interrogative: Is he smart?

The verb « to do » the verb « to do » + « not »

« To eat » « To eat » + not

We use « to do » in negatives and questions
