1. In the present simple, we add an S to the verb in the third person
singular.
Examples: ask, asks, love, loves
2. We add es to those verbs ending Ch, SS, Sh, O, X
Examples: teach, teaches. Pass, Passes. Push, Pushes. Go, Goes.
Mix, Mixes.
3. We add S to those verbs ending in vowel + Y
Examples: Say, Says
4. We add ies to we verbs in consonant +Y, We
examples: Fly, Flies, Carry, Carries
Simple Past Tense

In making a positive simple past statement, the pattern is:

Present progressive

La estructura del presente progresivo es una combinación de dos


verbos, uno es el verbo "to be" y el otro es el verbo que indica la
acción, este terminando con "ing".
Subject + Verb To Be + Verb (ing)
I am runing
• Básicamente (y de forma generalizada) el gerundio se forma agregando la terminación "-
ing" al verbo
• Verbos que terminen en la letra "-e" se les va a quitar esta letra y agregar terminación "-
ing“
• Verbos en donde se dobla la consonante final y se agrega terminación "-ing" (casos
concretos)

La estructura del presente progresivo es una combinación de dos


verbos, uno es el verbo "to be" y el otro es el verbo que indica la
