Invitation to International Day Event: Exploring Asia's Rich Cultural

Tapestry

Dear Parents,

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming International Day event, where we will
embark on an enlightening journey to explore the diverse cultures of Asia. This
promises to be an engaging and educational experience for both our students and
families.

Throughout the term, our curriculum will be infused with elements of Asian culture,
covering a wide array of aspects including food, attire, history, dance, economy,
greetings, and much more. By incorporating these topics into our teaching and
learning, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the richness
and diversity of Asian heritage.

As part of our preparations for the International Day event, we have assigned specific
countries to each year level. This allows students to delve deeply into the cultural
intricacies of their assigned nation and showcase their findings on the day of the
event. Here is a breakdown of the countries represented by each year level, along
with corresponding traditional attires.

 Year 7: India (Traditional Indian Clothing)

 Year 8: Qatar (Thobe for boys, Abaya for girls)

 Year 9: Maldives (Traditional Dhivehi Libaas)

 Year 10: Mongolia (Traditional Deel)

 Year 11: South Korea (Hanbok)

 Year 12: Turkey (Traditional Turkish Clothing)

More details on this event will be shared as the day draws closer.

Warm regards,

Starville School.
