Would

We use would if we want to make humble requests rather than using would, examples:
Would you please pass me that water bottle
Would you like to go out
Would you like to eat fish
Would u please speak a little up
And so on…
We also use an expression with would which is: Would you mind (and the request)
We always use ing form of verb with it, examples:
Would u mind eating a fish please
Would u mind not parking your car here please
Would u mind turning the volume up please
The 2nd use of would is when u are talking about future in past so u alwayyyys use
would
Examples:
I thought, he would come
I thought, it would be a holiday tomorrow
We thought, we would go to lunch on sunday
I had not thought it would happen
3rd use: would like
I would like to talk to u in person
I would like to eat chicken
4th use: would rather to show that i would do this instead of this
I would rather stay home than going out
