Aim :- Installation of Tableau and working with Tableau Desktop Workspace.

Step 1 :- Open Google Chrome → Search for “Tableau Public” as shown in Figure 1.1 & Click on
“Sign-up for Tableau public” as shown in Figure 1.2.

Step 2 :- Create your Tableau Account as shown in Figure 1.3 you will get Thank You Message as
shown in Figure 1.4.

Step 5 :- After successfully creation of your account Click on “Download Tableau Public” as shown
in Figure 1.5.

1.6. You will get installation processing window as shown in Figure 1.7.

1. Bar Chart

Step 1.1 :- Open tableau public → Click on Microsoft Excel → add “Sample - Superstore.xls” →
Drag & Drop Orders sheet as Data source → go to Sheet1.
Step 1.2 :- Now in Sheet1 Drag & Drop Sub-Category in Rows Field & SUM(Profit) in Column
Field. You will get bar chart by default as shown in Figure 6.1.1.

Step 2.1 :- Open tableau public → Click on Microsoft Excel → add “Sample - Superstore.xls” →
Drag & Drop Orders sheet as Data source → go to Sheet1.

Color Card → select Pie from Marks drop-down You will get pie chart as shown in

as Allow labels to overlap other marks as shown in Figure 6.2.3.

visualize each state by Clicking on Data → New Data Source → Spatial File → select

Step 10.1.3 :- Click on India_State_Boundary → Drag & Drop Geometry in Detail Card → State/Union

2. Create Multiple Line Chart

Step 10.2.1 :- Click on new Sheet (Covid Cases By State) → Drag & Drop Date in Column Field→
Right Click → Select Exact Date → Drag & Drop Measure Names in Filters → select
(Confirmed & Cured) values → Apply & OK.

Step 10.2.2 :- Drag & Drop Measure Values and SUM(Deaths) in Rows Field→ Right Click on
SUM(Deaths) → Filters → Range of Values → maximum value (10,000) after formatting
with colors our map will look like as shown in Figure 10.2.1.

3. Create horizontal bar chart 1

Step 10.3.1 :- Create new sheet (First vs Second Dose Administrated) Drag & Drop Measure Names →
Select First Dose Administered & Second Dose Administered → Apply & OK.

Step 10.3.2 :- Drag & Drop Measure Names in Rows Field& Measure Values in Column Field→ Swap
Rows and Columns → select Fit Screen as Entire View → Again Drag & Drop Measure
Values in Label Card after formatting with colors, our Bar Chart will look like as shown

Step 10.4.1 :- Create new sheet (Doses Administrated By Vaccine) Drag & Drop Measure Names →
Select CoviShield (Doses Administered), Covaxin (Doses Administered) & Sputnik V
(Doses Administered) → Apply & OK.

Step 10.4.2 :- Drag & Drop Measure Names in Rows Field& Measure Values in Column Field→ Swap
Rows and Columns → select Fit Screen as Entire View → select Sort Measure Names
Descending By Measure Values → Again Drag & Drop Measure Values in Label Card
after formatting with colors, our Bar Chart will look like as shown in Figure 10.2.1.

5. Create donut chart 1

Step 10.5.1 :- Add Data Source as AgeGroupDetail.csv → Drag & Drop AgeGroup in Color Card and
SUM(Total Cases) in Size Card → Double Click on Rows → add two SUM(0) by
manually typing it.

Step 10.5.2 :- in second SUM(0) at Mark Card → Decrease size and remove AgeGroup , SUM(Total
Cases) → in First SUM(0) increase Size → Again go to second SUM(0) in Rows Field→
Right Click → Dual Axis → add AgeGroup & SUM(Total Cases) to Label Card → Fit
Screen as Entire View. after formatting with colors, our Donut Chart will look like as
shown in Figure 10.5.1.

Step 10.6.1 :- Add Data Source as IndividualDetails.csv → Drag & Drop Gender in Color Card and
CNT(Gender) in Size Card → Double Click on Rows → add two SUM(0) by manually
typing it.

Step 10.6.2 :- in second SUM(0) at Mark Card → Decrease size and remove Gender , CNT(Gender) →
in First SUM(0) increase Size → Again go to second SUM(0) in Rows Field→ Right
Click → Dual Axis → add Gender & CNT(Gender) to Label Card → Fit Screen as Entire
View. after formatting with colors, our Donut Chart will look like as shown in Figure
