VSat system was still not working. A message was sent to support who sent back instructions on
how to reinstall the new program into the systems Modem. I had to down load from
http://portal.sealink.net/iDirect two downloads, the actual program for the Modem and the
program to install to the Modem. With the Ethernet cable plugged direct to the Modem in the
LAN4 connection I established communications and logged into the Modem using the iSite
program just downloaded. The laptop supplied has two versions of iSite already installed but the
initial login window was different to the instructions being used so used the iSite program I had
just downloaded, which was the same as the instructions being used. Using P@55w0rd! to login,
I installed evo_x5_bsp-15.0.2.1.pkg and then evo_x5_rmt-15.0.2.1.pkg as per instructions in
procedure 4. At this point I had to wait for support (Airbus) to send a new options file. I removed
LAN cable from modem LAN4 and fitted original LAN cable from the sytem network. I then
gained access to the LAN network through the router where I have left the cable so that the free
end can be used in the laptop for any future modifications. On receipt of the Opt file, I again used
the iSite program to install as detailed in procedure 5. Once done I reset the ACU which then
found and tracked a satellite (072E) from details provided by the new program (15.0.2.1) just
installed in the modem. The Modem is showing 5 green lights, and the ACU is tracking the
satellite.
