Thirdly, from what I know Indonesia has a strong potential for its marine resources. Remembering its biggest portion of the territory are the sea so it must have posses’ an enourmous benefit if manage with the right tools. Lastly, I’m aware that there are so many issues that my country face right now, but I love the ocean, I know I have a passion in this field which makes me want to pursue my career in this field, and I think that is my biggest drive for now. From what I learnt, Australia and a part of Indonesia especially Sulawesi and Papua Island share the common ancestor especially for its flora and fauna, beside Australia is well known to its unique marine ecosystem which is Great Barrier Reef and there is an established marine research center many years ago which will be good for the benchmark to be implemented in Indonesia. 3. Before I applied for AAS application, I did my Ielts test back in December 2021, I also did research to look for the most suitable major and college for me and make list for them. Currently I’m working in Marine and Coastal Resource Management Agency of Serang which is under the Ministry of marine affairs and Fisheries as a Marine and Coastal Ecosystem Management Officer. What I do as an officer in the field are to identify, collect, and verify the data especially for protected fish species and also the utilization of marine space usually for business like marine tourism and Hatchery. This job makes me exposed to various real case related to the management of sustainability marine resources, the challenge is how to make a balance between the need of every stakeholder, how to keep the business going while keeping the ecosystem healthy, and seeing this problem is challenged me to understand more in order solve this issue. By studying in master program I expect to strengthen my fundamentals to analyze the phenomena and issues found in the field. Furthermore, the course provides in master’s program will equipped me with a technical skills such as Geospatial database, data collection, as well as the latest concepts and theories.
