Subj. + Verb + 下去
你说下去，我很想听你的故事。
Nǐ shuō xiàqù, wǒ hěn xiǎng tīng nǐ de gùshì
Keep talking, I’d like to hear your story very much.

读下去，这本书很有意思。
Dú xiàqù, zhè běn shū hěn yǒuyìsi
Keep reading, this book is very interesting.

你不要这样生活下去了。
Nǐ bú yào zhèyàng shēnghuó xiàqùle
Do not continue living like this

工作累工资低，我不想做下去了。
Gōngzuò lèi gōngzī dī, wǒ bùxiǎng zuò xiàqùle
My job is tiring with low pay. I do not want to do it anymore.

Subj. + Verb + 不 + 下去 (+ 了)
这菜太难吃了，吃不下去。
Zhè cài tài nán chīle, chī bú xiàqù
This dish really tastes terrible and I can’t eat any more.

电影很无聊，我看不下去。
Diànyǐng hěn wúliáo, wǒ kàn bú xiàqù
The movie is very boring and I can’t watch it any more.

姐姐太伤心，说不下去了。
Jiějiě tài shāngxīn, shuō bú xiàqùle
Older sister is too sad to keep talking.
Vocabulary
实习 Shíxí = internship
刚来的时候 Gāng lái de shíhòu = when I first came here
部门 Bùmén = department
图表 Túbiǎo = charts
坚持 Jiānchí = to persevere
万事开头难 Wànshì kāitóu nán = beginning is the toughest
弄坏 Nòng huài = break something

Dialogue
Alice: Tom，第一天实习，感觉怎么样啊？
Tom, dì yī tiān shíxí, gǎnjué zěnme yàng a
It is your first day of internship. How do you feel about it?

Tom: 大家很友好，就是公司的部门太多, 不明白。

Dàjiā hěn yǒuhǎo, jiùshì gōngsī de bùmén tài duō, Bù míngbái
Everyone is friendly but there are too many departments in the
company. I don’t understand.

Alice: 我有几张图表，读下去会有帮助。
Wǒ yǒu jǐ zhāng túbiǎo, dú xiàqù huì yǒu bāngzhù

Alice: 不用谢。我刚来的时候，也有很多不懂的，同事们都教我才坚持下去。
bú yòng xiè. Wǒ gāng lái de shíhòu, yěyǒu hěnduō bù dǒng de,

Alice: 刚来的时候，我总是弄坏机器，那样下去，办公室的机器都要坏了。
Gāng lái de shíhòu, wǒ zǒng shì nòng huài jīqì, nàyàng xiàqù,
bàngōngshì de jīqì dōu yào huàile
When I first started working, I alway broke machine. If it stayed
like that all the machines in the office would have been broken.

Tom: 真的吗？ 我会好好学习的，谢谢你啊 Alice。

Zhēn de ma? Wǒ huì hǎo hào xuéxí de, xièxiè nǐ a Alice
Realy? I’ll study hard. Thank you alice.

大学生工作以前一般都需要实习，为了以后真正的工作做好准备。有的人实习时有很
好的同事，学到很多东西。也有的人实习时只是做些杂事，比如泡咖啡，复印文件。
不过这也是一种学习，可以了解公司的文化。最重要的是要有学习的心态。你有怎么
样的实习经验？

大学生工作以前一般都需要实习，为了以后真正的工作做好准备
Dàxuéshēng gōngzuò yǐqián yībān dōu xūyào shíxí, wèile yǐhòu zhēnzhèng de
gōngzuò zuò hǎo zhǔnbèi
Most of college students have to do internship before they graduate to get
ready for future real work.
一般 yībān = in general
需要 xūyào = must, required

有的人实习时有很好的同事，学到很多东西
Yǒu de rén shíxí shí yǒu hěn hǎo de tóngshì, xué dào hěnduō dōngxī
Some learned a lot from helpful coworkers.
也有的人实习时只是做些杂事，比如泡咖啡，复印文件
Yěyǒu de rén shíxí shí zhǐshì zuò xiē záshì, bǐrú pào kāfēi, fùyìn wénjiàn
Also others only get to do things like making coffee, making photocopies, etc.
杂事 záshì = chores
复印 fùyìn = make copies

不过这也是一种学习，可以了解公司的文化
bú guò zhè yěshì yī zhǒng xuéxí, kěyǐ liǎojiě gōngsī de wénhuà
But they can learn company’s culture through doing these small tasks.

最重要的是要有学习的心态
Zuì zhòngyào de shì yào yǒu xuéxí de xīntài
The most important is to have learning attitude.
心态 xīntài = attitude
