Justification For The Placement Of The Ramp In The Designed Pit Below.

Justification:
The ramp width was calculated using the operating width of the caterpillar 777G Off-
Highway Truck. The formula used for the width of the two-lane ramp was ;

𝑅𝑎𝑚𝑝 𝑤𝑖𝑑𝑡h =0.5 × (𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑐𝑘 𝑤𝑖𝑑𝑡h ) × 3+2× ( 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑐𝑘 𝑤𝑖𝑑𝑡h )

¿ 0.5 × ( 6.200 𝑚 ) ×3+ 2× ( 6.200𝑚 )=21.7 𝑚

This width was rounded up to the nearest meter to get 22m as the ramp width.

When the ramp was created, it was made sure that it was not created over the ore body below
it. The ramp was made to begin inside the pit of the mined ore at that elevation.

e.g when making the ramp to access ore at elevation 940, it was made sure that the ramp is
within the pit of orebody of elevation 952 as long as it is not above ore at elevation 940.

Also, no switchback was made because it would have diverted the ramp outer to more waste
therefore increasing costs in capital and time.
