 When message sent is the same as msg rceived.

 When mesage is successfully sent, successfully deliverd, well understood


and feedback given.

Effective communication is communication that is clearly
and successfully delivered, received, understood and
feedback given. The mode/medium (Written, verbal or non-
verbal) of delivery (determined by sender) and circumstances
of its receipt (Receiver plays a role here) play a very
important role in effective communication.

 Comprehensiveness- msg must include all or nearlly all aspects of the
message – it must be complete..

 Conciseness.

 Sender should consider the receiver – i.e. will he/she receive the msg well? Is
this the best way to send it? Etc.

 Specificity and unambigiouity – msg must be clear and to the point.

 Accuracy and correctness- written messages should be error-free.

 Politeness in sender’s tone (courteous) even if the receiver is


wrong.

 RECEIVER SHOULD BE PREPARED TO RECEIVE MSG

 There must be NO BARRIERS (VARIOUS AS THEY ARE).

Exchange of information between two or more people – spoken, written or otherwise.
Listening skills (Effrective listening) & non-verbal ues play a very important role in this type
of communication. It is important to be deeply involved with sender’s/speaker’s message.
Both parties also have to beware of each other’s non-verbal cues – verbal &non-verbal
communication should not contradict each other although non-verbal communication may
not be easy to intepret.
GENERALLY, COMMUNICATION CAN EITHER MAKE OR BREAK
ORGANISATIONS.
 Intrapersonal
Conversation within oneself about self, other people or their environment.
Thoughts within oneself about self, environment and or other people.

Communication between people from different cultures – this calls
for the two to understand each other’s culture, otherwise there
