EXT. HOUSE. PRE-DAWN.
SHOTS OF THE HOUSE. SHOTS OF THE SKY. CHILLED BY THE
GROWLING WINDS OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

As the eerie feeling of the neighborhood opens, the

images of its background story reopens.

ELENA SPEAKS SOFTLY.

ELENA(O.S.)
Sa sobrang dami na ng mga kwento, hindi ko na
alam kung ano ang aking papaniwalaan. Maaaring
totoo, maaaring hindi.

FADES. SHOT OF THE SKY.

ELENA(CONT’D)(O.S.)
Pero sa lahat na ng mga kwentong aking narinig,
iisa lang ang totoo...Napatunayan ko...

Through Elena’s story--a story of stories, unable to

know-which of which is real. Their new house. Caged in
its
dark past. Cut by a sudden --

LOUD BARKING of a dog --

FADES. SHOT OF THE HOUSE.

CUT TO:
EXT. ROAD, HOUSE. PRE-DAWN.

ELENA WALKS TO HER PARENTS. WONDERS ABOUT THE EERIE

FEELING OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD THEY’RE IN.

When Elena was walking, her parents arrived outside the

house, talking about it.

CLOSE-UP: EXT. HOUSE. PRE-DAWN.

Elena’s father, mid-20s, staring at the house. Standing

uncle-like, giving random gestures while talking to his
wife.
 FATHER
Well...Here’s where we are gonna live

The FATHER SIGHS, then proceeds inside the house.

MOTHER
Well, wait for me!

The MOTHER, in her mid-20s, quickly followed her husband

inside. Leaving ELENA outside.

MEDIUM SHOT: EXT. CAR. PRE-DAWN

ELENA wonders about the eerie feeling of the neighbor

they’re in.

Air gushes through her face and hair.

CUT TO:

MEDIUM SHOT: EXT. BAHAY. PRE-DAWN.

While wondering about her feelings, she was suddenly

disturbed, when--

CLARA
Hello!

ELENA FELT A SUDDEN FEAR.

Clara went shy when she scared Elena, still continued to

introduce herself and her brother. Hans, the brother,
wasn’t that talkative unlike her sister.

CLARA(CONT’D)
Ay, sorry...I think I scared you...Clara nga
pala!

ELENA STILL CONFUSED

Clara forwarded her hand in front of elena, trying to be

friends. elena still confused, but still shook her hand.

CLARA(CONT’D)
This is my brother Hans(Waves at ELENA).
You guys new here?

EXT. HOUSE. DAWN.

(Front Shot)
 TO ELENA.
ELENA
Ahh yes, we just moved here. I’m Elena by the
way. Wanna go inside?

CLARA
Sure, no problem.
TO HANS.
Hans let’s go inside.

Elena is opening the gate. Clara asked to Elena --

CLARA(CONT’D)
So...Elena? Why did you guys picked this house
in this kind of neighbohood?

-- THE THREE OF THEM ENTERING THE GARDEN

Elena closed the gate. Locks it. Answers Clara --

ELENA
Oh, my father picked this house because it’s
closer to his work.

After answering Clara, Elena proceeds to welcome the

twins and opens the door.

CUT TO:
INT. HOUSE. DAWN.

Elena opens the door. The three of them went inside. The
siblings sat on the couch. Elena’s parents were nowhere
to be found. The lights flickered --

ELENA
(SHOUTS) Ma! Pa!

TO THE TWINS.
ELENA(CONT’D)
Tsk. Sorry about that. Where are they?...

LIGHTS FLICKERED AGAIN --

-- THE DARK CORNER

SLOWLY ZOOMS TOWARDS THE DARK CORNER, making Elena wonder
and whisper, while looking at the corner.

ELENA(CONT’D)
(softly) Ma?...Pa?...
RATS SQUEEKED, scaring ELENA.

PANS:
-- THE STAIRS

Elena’s parents were up-stairs all along. The mother

peeked down, wondering what’s happening --

MOTHER
We’re up-stairs anak!

--ANNA GIVING A SIGN OF RELEIF

MOTHER(CONT’D)(O.S.)
May kailangan ka ba?

ELENA
Wala po…can we play po outside with my friends?

MOTHER(CONT’D)(O.S.)
Sige, be back before dinner ha!

ELENA
Okay po!
ELENA(CONT’D)
Let’s go, laro tayo sa labas?

The three of them we’re at JOY. They went out side to

play.

CUT TO:
EXT. HOUSE. DAWN-NIGHT.

THEY PLAYED HIDE-AND-SEEK. HANS IS THE SEEKER. STARTS TO

COUNT BEHIND THE CAR.
