The first Law of power is never outshining the master.

It is trying to say
is that to make your superiors above you comfortable in their position
because the people above are like kings and queens so if they feel
insecure or threaten in their position they for sure take action because
instead of you showing your talent for your superiors and tons of other
superiors and people are amaze they feel insecure that they do not
have great talent and they think you are just flaunting or showing your
credibility instead of showing your talent to them. so, they take action
to secure their position.
This law relates to power by telling you to play along or by telling them
to fake things as telling people and superiors that your king is incredible
and amazing and by doing this can or will get you more power or even
higher ranks than your superiors to a point you imagine maybe even
much more than your superiors. A person named Nicolas Fouquet did
not follow this law so then it costs him his life. Fouquet love lavish
parties, pretty girls, and poetry. He also loves money for he led an
extravagant lifestyle also he is the fiancé minister so when the prime
minister died named Jules Mazarin, he thought he would be named
successor and be the next prime minister but no, the king instead
abolishes the position. So, Fouquet though that the king has fallen out
of favor for him which he is very wrong so he set up a party he invited
famous people around the time and the king after the party the people
said that the party was the most amazing party in their life or world
when the king heard this he felt insecure and though the fiancé
minister is better than the king so the next day Fouquet was arrested
and was sued of stealing money from the Kings treasury but most of
the accused stealing he did was allowed by the king to be spent and so
he was found guilty and sent to the most isolated prison in France, High
in the Pyrenees Mountains, where he spent he’s last twenty years of his
life in solitary confinement. That what happens when you outshine your
master or not following the first law of power, but it sometimes ends in
someone losing their life for outshining their masters or superiors be
more smart instead of doing something that make your superiors
insecure in their position do something that makes your superiors look
higher more amazing than all people and superiors and wait for awhile
maybe in awhile you get more power than before or your superiors.
Don’t make the same mistake like Fouquet did to avoid things like that.
