In recent time, music plays an important role in entertainment because of several reasons.

There is a
rich variety of genres music in the world and people have a controversy about the significance of
traditional and international music. In my viewpoint, they have the equal role in our life.

There is no doubt that music has been creeping into every aspect of our life and gradually assert its
essential role. Firstly, music acts as an effective entertainment tool. After nerve-racking day, we can
ward off stress by songs have gentle or jubilant melody. Music can lift our mood up when we stress or
have the blues. Furthermore, music connect people all around the world. By songs, we can express
emotions in the way that words alone cannot. Music also plays a role as education tool. There are a lot
of meaningful songs which content with the lessons of life, peacefulness, gratitude, love and so forth.
Some people are disabused to distinguish the right and the wrong after listening messages from songs.
Therefore, people can be cultivated their mental development through music.

With things mentioned above, I totally consider that both conventional and international music have
equal position in our life. Traditional music has gentle and slow or heroic and majestic tune. They are
usually used for some occasions like national festivals, wedding and so on. And in Vietnam, traditional
songs always appear in lullabies. They reflect living habits of local population, historical stories, nation's
cultural identity and so on. Some genres of traditional music became conventional and international
heritage which can promote national culture to the world and encourage the development of tourism.
Despite these things, traditional is mainly only popular in the old and having forgotten signs in recent
time because of the outdated. In terms of international songs, they have eventful and catchy melody
which attract a number of audiences especially youngsters. They are easy and interesting means of
learning languages. They help us have the knowledge about overseas culture. However, there are
several songs which have inappropriate cultural identity content.

In conclusion, I believe that both conventional and international music have a big influence on each
people. We need to preserve and develop traditional music and receive selectively international songs.
