FINANCIAL SUPPORT CONFIRMATION

All Summer Work Travel participants must have evidence of sufficient finances to support themselves for their entire
stay in the United States, including personal, travel, housing and living expenses.
Although the program has a work component, participants are required to bring at a minimum of $1000 with them to
the U.S. to cover their initial expenses and should expect to only enough funds to cover some of their expenses while in
the U.S.
Participants may not earn back the costs they spent to come to the U.S. and GEC does not encourage participants to
obtains loans or borrow money from others in order to participate in a GEC program.
